Amy Winehouse Album 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures' Debuts At Number One

Amy Winehouse's posthumous album 'Lioness: Hidden Treasures' has shot straight to number one in the UK charts.

The collection of unreleased tracks was released last Monday (December 5) and was backed by her entire family

Speaking about the album's success, Amy’s mother Janis said:"It’s such amazing news that Amy’s album has gone to number one, and just goes to show what she still means to people."

She added: It’s especially good for the foundation and knowing that every sale will go to help a deserving cause makes the news all the more special. I’m so proud of my daughter and so happy that she is still touching people. She's forever in my heart.

The album features 12 tracks recorded by the late singer in various stages of her life handpicked by her producer friends Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi.

Lioness: Hidden Treasures has also received backing of Winehouse's parents Mitch and Janis.

£1 from every sale of 'Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures' will be donated to her foundation.
