Gary Barlow has flown his family out to the Caribbean for a no-expense-spared holiday, following his recent X Factor defeat.
The singer, who was a judge on this year's X Factor, is said to have taken time out to get over the stresses of the show.
A source said: "Gary has been working flat out for the past few months, both on The X Factor and organising his charity gigs.
"He's a real family man and couldn't wait to spend some more time with his wife Dawn and the kids.
"Some playing with the nippers, swimming and book reading is exactly what he needs after all of the chaos on the TV show."
Barlow, who replaced Simon Cowell as a judge on the show this year, said he's fed-up with not being in control of what happens on the X Factor.
In an interview with Esquire magazine, Barlow said: "The reason I'm not particularly enjoying it is I don't feel I'm in control of it.
"It's a totally new thing for me. I've got to get my head around it, learn to enjoy it."
