Gwyneth Paltrow Confirms Beyonce And Jay-Z's Daughter's Name

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has confirmed the name of Beyonce and Jay-Z as Blue Ivy Carter.

Reportes emerged yesterday (January 8) that the couple's first child had been named Ivy Blue Carter.

Paltrow took to Twitter to clear up the confusion:"Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already."

One fans asked: "is it ivy blue, or blue ivy? so confused..". To which she replied: It's Blue Ivy Carter!"

The 30 year-old singer gave birth by caesarean section at the Lennox Hill hospital in New York on Saturday night (January 7).

Celebrity friends of the couple have taken to Twitter to congratulate Beyonce and Jay-Z with Rihanna and Russell Simmons being the first off the mark:

Russell posted: "Congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z."

Rihanna also posted to fans: "Welcome to the world princess Carter. Love Aunty Rih."
