Beyonce And Jay-Z Welcome Baby Girl

It has been reported that power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z have bought their first child into the world - a baby girl they have named Blue Ivy Carter. Multiple sources have confirmed that the 30 year-old singer gave birth last night by caesarean section at the Lennox Hill hospital in New York.

Celebrity friends of the couple have taken to Twitter to congratulate Beyonce and Jay-Z with Rihanna and Russell Simmons being the first off the mark:

Russell posted: "Congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z."

Rihanna posted: "Welcome to the world princess Carter. Love Aunty Rih."

According to the New York Daily News the singer checked in under the name Ingrid Jackson. Reportedly the couple rented out the entire fourth floor for the event, spending a total of $1.3 million whilst all cameras in the hospital were covered and staff were required to hand over their mobile devices.

The rumour mill has been in full swing since Beyonce announced her pregnancy at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards in August.

Beyonce smashed all records by becoming the most tweeted about person ever when she revealed her baby bump on the social networking site last year.
