Noel Gallagher has been awarded the Godlike Genius award.
The singer, who released his debut album last year, will receive the award at the NME awards later this month.
Speaking about the award, Noel said: ‘I would like to thank NME for bestowing upon me such a great accolade. I have dreamt of this moment since I was 43 years old. I accept I am now a genius, just like God.’
Noel follows in the footsteps of The Clash, Paul Weller and New Order who have also picked up the award in previous years.

Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has confirmed the support acts for his upcoming tour.
The jaunt will kick off at Manchester's MEN on February 13 and will call at London's O2 Arena on the 26 before concluding up at Nottingham's Capital FM Arena on September 12.
Reverend and The Makers will open Gallagher's shows in Manchester, Aberdeen, Sheffield, Glasgow, London and Birmingham.
