Noel Gallagher has opened up about his heavy drug addiction throughout the 90s.
The singer, one half of rock 'n' rolls most notorious siblings, said that 'walking in the woods' helped kick his cocaine addiction.
In an interview with The Yorkshire Evening Post, Noel said “The giving up of the dear itself was just, “Do you want to be a junkie any more?” “No, I don’t, lets stop taking drugs.”
“I had to go on long walks in the woods. It was easy but then I wasn’t doing smack and I wasn’t an alcoholic. They are the tricky ones. With anything else a bit of willpower will do it.”
Noel Gallagher also recently spoke about today’s current music scene, stating that Oasis and Blur were the last alternative bands in the charts.
The singer, who released his debut album last year, told the Daily Mirror that he was not impressed with the ‘rubbish’ that’s in the charts.
The days of Oasis and Blur were the last great assault on the charts by alternative music. Christmas Top Of The Pops was dreadful.
He added: "Every song sounded like it came from the same field of music. There was a rap in there somewhere, everyone sang in a transatlantic soul voice and it was rubbish.
