Madonna Hoping For Oscar Nomination With 'W.E'

Madonna has said she has her"fingers crossed" ahead of the Oscar nominations announcement today (January 24).

The singer picked up a Golden Globe earlier this month (January 12) for the film's theme track Masterpiece, which won the prize for Best Original Song.

She says, "Well, the Oscars, the nominations are coming out... and fingers crossed, I hope my movie gets nominated for something.

"I would be really grateful if it did, but if it doesn't, I got the Super Bowl - keep on going."

Last year The Nine Inch Nails star Trent Reznor and composer Atticus Ross was in running for their soundtrack to The Social Network.

Meanwhile, Madonna has revealed the name of her forthcoming new album.

Whilst filming an interview with BBC One's The Graham Norton Show today (January 11) the singer  announced that MDNA will be the name of her upcoming album.

The singer's track 'Gimme All Your Luvin' - which features rappers Nicki Minaj and MIA - is reported to hit radio stations in the US on February 7.
