US rockers the Black Keys have apologised to Nickelback for calling the band 'sh*t'. Although as apologies go, it wasn't he most convincing we've ever heard...
The band insulted the (admittedly terrible) band during an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, adding that "Rock and roll is dying because people became OK with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world."
Now, the band have made a half-hearted attempt to smooth things over with Nickelback in an interview with MTV.
"There's much worse bands than Nickelback. Maybe," said The Black Keys' Patrick Carney. "That was the worst apology."
"I don't like bad music, but look, I've got a lot of friends and not one of them has a Nickelback record," he added. "I'm not a small minority."
The Black Keys are currently touring the US alongside Arctic Monkeys. Watch the band's 'apology' below.
