Gene Simmons has revealed his anger at never having been inducted into America's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Kiss, despite having been eligible since 1999 for inclusion.
2012 inductees include Guns N' Roses, Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The rock frontman, however, has a remedy to put things right and have his band honoured.
"It's become a joke," said Simmons to Rolling Stone magqazine. "We've been thinking about it and the answer is simply, 'We'll just buy it and fire everybody.'"
Simmons also spoke out on the inclusion of artists such as Madonna and Blondie in previous years' Hall of Fame inductions.
"In all seriousness for the fans, for something to be called Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is such an insult to Madonna and Blondie," he added. "Who the **** knows what other disco act is in there? It's an insult to them because they don't get to be in the 'Dance Hall of Fame,' because that's what they do.
"They're legitimate dance, disco artists. They don't belong in rock and roll."
Kiss recently announced a joint tour across the US with fellow rock giants, Motley Crue.
