A permanent tribute to David Bowie's groundbreaking 'The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars' album has been revealed in London.
The blue plaque was unveiled by Gary Kemp, star of Spandau Ballet anda lifelong Bowie fan, at the spot where the album cover was shot in 1972. Kemp described Bowie as a "messianic rock star".
The album featured the hit single 'Starman', and set the star apart as one of pop's first masters of reinvention.
Bowie said of the shoot for the album artwork, "It was cold and it rained and I felt like an actor."
