Snoop Dogg is recording a reggae album with priducer Diplo, it has been revealed.
The US rapper has always evolved as an artist and spoke recently about how his next album would see him 'reborn' as an artist. Confirming this new direction, producer Diplo excitedly told MTV about his plans for the album he and Snoop are making together.
"Snoop Dogg is an icon, man; he's bigger than the music. What we're doing is a reggae record," he said. Adding: "We're going to get back into the production of it next month, and I'm really proud of that record. It's the first record I've ever executive-produced and his crew is amazing."
Asked how the recording is going, Diplo (who has worked with everyone from Beyonce to Rolo Tomassi) said: "It's all reggae and he's singing and he's doing a f*cking awesome job and I never knew it, but he had his heart in every song."
Diplo most recently produced a new track titled 'F*ck Up The Fun' for Azealia Banks.
