Iggy Pop has revealed details of his new album 'Apres', the follow-up to 2009's 'Préliminaires'.
The album will again comprise of ten covers, including Iggy's take on tracks by The Beatles, Frank Sinatra and Edith Piaf's 'La Vie En Rose'.
Speaking about the album, Iggy Pop says: "All popular music forms of today get their strength from the beat. Rap, hip-hop, metal, pop and rock producers will tell you that the beats they use imitate the human heartbeat and that is where the power lies.
"I've always loved this other feeling, one that is intimate, sometimes a little sad, and does not try to beat me on the head."
Earlier this year Iggy Pop criticised modern music, saying it was only good 10% of the time.
Featuring Iggy Pop singing in both French and English, 'Apres' will be released in May. The full tracklisting can be seen below.
