Louis Walsh has hit back at Cheryl Cole after she criticised his management, or lack of, during his time in charge of Girls Aloud.
The outspoken comments came from Cole yesterday when she said that Walsh did little-to-no work but happily accepted the money the girlband were making during the early days of their career.
"We never had management. Louis claimed to be our manager but he never did it," Cole told Marie Claire magazine in a new interview. "We didn't talk to him or anything like that.
Walsh has defended himself though, reportedly telling The Mirror that his 'friendship with Cheryl is over' and that he: "was always the first to defend her on the X Factor, and always watched her back."
Adding: "I won't stand for anyone criticising me professionally and if I was in London right now I'd give her a piece of my mind."
Walsh is also believed to have said: 'I've no idea why she's made these comments but, in my eyes, it says a lot about her.'
Cheryl Cole is due to debut her new single 'Call My Name' later this month.
