Jack White: 'I really, really miss The White Stripes'

Despite recently claiming that he would only reform The White Stripes if bankrupt, Jack White has revealed that he still misses his partnership with Meg White.

The star, who is currently promoting debut solo album 'Blunderbuss' spoke to the New York Times about his feelings on the much loved band.

"I'd be in The White Stripes for the rest of my life," said White. "That band is the most challenging, important, fulfilling thing ever to happen to me. I wish it was still here. It's something I really, really miss."

He also hinted, however, that working with Meg was not always easy, adding: "Meg completely controlled the White Stripes. She's the most stubborn person I've ever met, and you don't even get to know the reasons."

White said recently, in an interview with NME that he would only reform The White Stripes "if we went bankrupt or really needed the cash. which would be a really sad thig. I would probably be issuing an apology along with the announcement of the show dates."

Jack White is set to play a series of summer UK tour dates. For more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
