The man stabbed at a party Jessie J had performed at earlier this week has died, it has been confirmed.

BBC news reports that Phillip Sherriff, 37, a telecommunications worker from Preston, Lancashire, has died after the incident, which happened following a corporate event in Pulse nightclub, Southwark, on Tuesday, (April 4).

Ashley Charles, 25, from Leicester, has been charged with attempted murder.

Actor Kenny Solomons was at the scene of the crime and managed to administer first aid to the victim, a man believed to be in his thirties.

Speaking to The Sun, Solomons said: “Blood was pouring from a golf ball-sized hole. I put pressure on to try and stop the flow until paramedics arrived.”

Tweeting about the incident, Jessie J said: “My thoughts are with the person seriously injured last night at the BlackBerry bbm party. So sad. I really hope they are ok.” Other famous faces inside the club where the 37 year old was attacked include Wretch 32, N-Dubz star Fazer, the cast of TOWIE and members of Boyzone.

Wretch 32 also performed at the party on Tuesday. It is believed that both he and Jessie had left the venue when the incident took place.
