Calvin Harris has admitted that his music can be repetitive and that he is keen to try out new styles and different collaborators on his forthcoming solo album.
Harris saw his career go stratoshperic in 2011 when he wrote and produced Rihanna's 'We Found Love', instantly making him one of the most sought-after names in the industry. However, he also has his critics who make note of his predictable style of production.
Tackling this issue in an interview with the Daily Star, Harris says: "The main thing I've tried to do with this album is not cover the same old ground. It's still sounding quite epic, but that whole 'I'm Not Alone' thing has been done to death."
Adding: "I want to do something different, to challenge myself and feel in danger of messing up. Sometimes you need to do that to get the best out of yourself."
Meanwhile, Harris (who has worked with Ne-Yo, Kelis and Cheryl Cole in recent years) still has two huge names on his wishlist.
"I want to work with Prince. He's amazing. And Andre 3000. Two things that are never going to happen," he revealed.
