Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose is rivalling the diva demands of Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey, demanding he has a square melon backstage at shows on the band's current tour.
His list of backstage demands also include more traditional rock and rool essentials including "wines, beers, vodka, red and white roses" - reports The Sun newspaper. The newspaper also reports that Axl describes the 'exotic' item as one that 'absolutely can't be missed'.
Axl's need for square melon is odd, but pales in comparison with some of the greatest backstage demands of all time, including James Brown once reported to have asked for 'two girls under the age of 21 and a ladies' hair dryer'. Rolling Stones once demanded a toilet on wheels while Marilyn Manson once asked for Haribo sweets, absinthe and a bald hooker with no teeth.
Axl recentyl tweeted a photo of an enormous bruise he suffered after a drunken party in Russia - which might explain why he has also requested a 'custom made leather couch' to sit on at tour dates.
