Beyonce had to call on husband Jay-Z's security team this weekend when she was abused by a member of the audience at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend event.

According to reports, Beyonce was heckled by a man in the audience as she watched her husband headline the first day of the free festival alongside his guests Kanye West, MIA and Rihanna.

Clearly upset by the provocation, Jay-Z's security stepped in to protect Beyonce. A source told The Daily Star that: "Whatever was said, it really upset Beyoncé. Jay-Z’s bodyguards weren’t going to have any of it. They waded in and there was a massive ruckus."

Beyonc has faced another backlash to her watching of Jay-Z's set with Suede guitarist Bernard Butler labelling her a 'nonstop insincere PR trip'.
