One of 2012's biggest comebacks, The Killers' return to chart stardom, has kicked off today with new single 'Runaways' making its online debut. Listen below.

The single has appeared today on various online locations, ahead of its official premiere later today (10 July, 2012).

The track bares all the hallmarks of classic Killers, with a relentless beat mixed with crashing guitars and Brandon Flowers distinctive vocals. The pop sound of 'Human' has been replaced with a rockier sound, similar to that heard on Brandon Flowers' solo album 'Flamingo'.

The track also incorporates an 80s glam-rock sound, as The Killers set their sights on a return to stadium stardom with their 2012 comeback.

"We're all just runaways / I knew it when I met you / I'm not gonna let you runaway / I knew it when I held you I wasn't letting go," sings Flowers on the track's epic chorus.

'Runaways' is taken from the band's fourth studio album, 'Battle Born', which is due for release on 17 September, 2012.

Stay tuned for the full, offical premiere later today. Watch a trailer for the album below.
