Taylor Swift takes aim at boys value their record collection over their girlfriends in her new single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', revealed this morning.

The track, which is the first single from Swift's new album 'Red', is an upbeat break up anthem and features Swift singing the line, "Find your peace of mind, with some indie record that's much cooler than mine".

'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' is already a huge hit in the US with the song going straight to number one on the iTunes chart in record time, reportedly beating Lady Gaga's previous record of hitting the top spot in just 50 minutes.

Chatting about 'Red', due for release in October, in a webchat yesterday (Aug 13) Swift told fans to expect another emotional rollercoaster: "All the different emotions that are written about on this album are all pretty much about the kind of tumultuous, crazy, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships that I’ve experienced in the last two years. All those emotions — spanning from intense love, intense frustration, jealousy, confusion, all of that — in my mind, all those emotions are red."

A collaboration with Ed Sheeran will reportedly feature on 'Red'.
