More about: Rod Stewart & Penny Lancaster
The former Faces frontman Rod Stewart has admitted to taking anti-cold capsules laced with cocaine anally, rather than destroying his nasal passages.
In a rather revealing memoir, Rod: The Biography - which Stewart announced in October of last year - he also writes about losing his virginity, not ingesting semen and refusing to have his penis cast.
The rocker writes, via Spin, that he and Ronnie Wood: "started buying anti-cold capsules from the chemist's, separating the two halves of the capsules, replacing their contents with a pinch of cocaine, and then taking the capsules anally, where, of course, the human body being a wonderful thing, they would dissolve effortlessly into the system."
They apparently used the method after Wood burnt a hole in his nasal septum. Talking about his own drugs habit he told Access Hollywood, the 67-year-old said: "I was never an addict. I was never, you know, in rehab. It never affected my family or my relationships."

The all-telling memoir also features Stewart writing about losing his virginity to an "old and larger" woman in a beer tent at the 1961 Beaulieu Jazz Festival, when he was just 16-years-old. The incident also partially inspired his famous hit 'Maggie May.'
Rod was also keen to clear up an old myth about him that he once ingested so much semen that he had to have his stomach pumped. Dismissing the story Stewart claims that his former publicist Tony Toon "fed the press a story in which, as a consequence of an evening spent orally servicing a gang of sailors in a gay bar in San Diego, I had been required to check into a hospital emergency room to have my stomach pumped."
He says Toon made the claim after he fired him and explains "I have never orally pleasured even a solitary sailor... And I have never had my stomach pumped, either of naval-issue semen nor of any other kind of semen."
In another crude story Stewart explains that he and Faces band mate Ronnie Wood turned down the offer to cast their penises. The offer was made by famous groupie Cynthia Plaster by Rod wrote: "Obviously it would have been a pleasure and an honour. However, Woody and I took a look at the rather challengingly splendid specimens on the table before us, considered for a moment the slightly more modest scale of our own endowments, and said, 'Hmm. Nah, I don't think so, thank you'."
