This weekend, Black Sabbath achieved their first No.1 UK album in nearly 43 years, with new studio record 13.
If that wasn't enough, the band set a new Official Chart record, with the biggest gap between number one albums. The rockers had their last UK number one in 1970, with Paranoid, a grand total of nearly 43 years between chart-topping albums. The record was previously held by Bob Dylan, with a 38 year gap between 1970's New Morning and 2009's Together Through Life.
Singer Ozzy Osbourne described himself as "in shock" about the success of the album, in an interview with OfficialCharts.com. The band have "never had a record climb the charts so fast" before.
Black Sabbath's success was followed by Beady Eye's second album, BE, at No.2, and Rod Stewart's new album, Time, at No.3.

Ozzy explains the reasons for their success by saying "we've got something other people haven't got ... the likes of Rod and us have got something different. We know our craft."
