Azealia Banks has released her new single 'Count Contessa' from her upcoming mixtape, Fantasea II. Listen to the track below. 

Banks announced the release over the weekend, and continues to confuse fans with her current release campaign, as 'Count Contessa' comes ahead of the release of her official new single, 'ATM Jam' (featuring Pharrell), and does not appear on her debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste. Instead, the track is taken from her second mixtape release, Fantasea II : The Second Wave. The mixtape is due for release on 11 July, 2014 in the relatively distant future. 

The rapper took to Twitter on  Sunday 15 September to reveal the subject matter of the track, adding: "It's a song about a woman with with a man's physical strength. Like, literally.

"Count Contessa was a Dyke who won the fist fight with Muscle Mike."

The track is a skittering and ferverous rave-driven jam, loaded with Banks' trademark blend of bravado and brilliant wordplay. If this has been left off her debut album, then we'd love to hear what the rest has in store for us.

Banks recently revealed the tracklist for her long awaited debut album on Instagram - which does not include 'Count Contessa.'

Broke With Expensive Taste has been delayed a number of times, and no official release date has been set, but it is expected to be released before the end of 2013.

"The Internets are so bored," she wrote on Twitter recently, discussing suggestions that her career was already over. "So funny how many times my career was supposed to "over" because of things I say. "People get so mad at me because the things i say are almost always accurate."
