Kasabian brought Glastonbury to a close last night with a neon-infused set that was a career high for the band, they were also joined on stage by Noel Fielding and paid tribute to the late Bobby Womack. 

Beginning their set illuminated by the bright pink shades of the 48:13 album cover, they launched into an updated version of 'Bumblebee'. They then launched straight into fan favourite 'Shoot The Runner', which was mixed in with samples from Kanye West's 'Black Skinhead'. This was followed by 'Underdog', a particularly poignant track for the band who are as polarizing as they are popular. 

During the set cryptic messages appeared on the screen, including the words "Bumble", "Canister", "Dhalism" and "Voucher". From there the band played 'Fast Fuse' and were joined on stage by backing singers for 'Days Are Forgotten'.

'eez-eh', was next up which saw Serge Pizzorno subtley putting his fingers up to his nose during the line "do you want some bugle". They then performed 'Processed Beats', which saw Pizzorno keep it real by rapping a section from Grandmaster Flash's 'The Message'.

Continuing the theme of interspersing covers and nods to other artists throughout the set, Meighan left the stage after 'I.D' and 'Stevie', allowing Pizzorno to perform a moody cover of Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy'. He then went into 'Let's Roll Like We Used To' before Meighan rejoined the band for 'Club Foot', 'Rewind', 'Treat' and 'Fire' which whipped the crowd into a frenzy. 

The group then left the stage only to return after an intro from Noel Fielding telling the crowd: "Feel My Wrath". They then re-emerged with Fielding dressed as Vlad the Impaler, wielding an oversized bass and a bloody face. During the song Meighan changed the lyrics to: "Bobby Womack see you on the other side".

"Ten years ago we opened The Other Stage – we'd been up all night of course," Meighan then told the crowd before closing with a cover of 'Praise You' and 'L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever)'.
