One of the weirdest stories currently floating around the internet is that Akon in a plastic ball in the Congo to avoid getting Ebola.
Performing at the International Peace Day celebrations in Goma in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the rapper performed, before "zorbing" over the crowd. Shortly after the online world began to go into overdrive, claiming Akon was avoiding ebola.
When it comes to the virus, the already gullable internet is all too good at jumping to conclusions, the simple fact is he may be enjoying a crowd surf. It's not uncommon for acts like Major Lazer and The Flaming Lips (to mention a few), to jump in a zorb and take crowd surfing to the next level. Were they all avoiding ebola? Here's a clue... No.
