The court case against AC/DC's Phil Rudd's has been publicly outlined for the first time, with prosecutors saying that he threatened to kill a man and his daughter.

As Billboard reports, the drummer has been charged with threatening to kill, for which he could face seven years in prison, as well as possessing methamphetamine and marijuana. He has pleaded not guilty to both, and faces trial next year.

According to prosecutors, Rudd called a business associate and discussed "what he wanted done" to the man, before then calling the man in question and threatening both him and his daughter.

While Rudd acknowledged possessing a "small amount of marijuana", he told the police that he hadn't made the alleged phone calls, and did not threaten to kill anyone.

Meanwhile, Rudd was arrested for a second time this week after an alleged fight with his bodyguard. He was later released on bail without further charges.

AC/DC's new album, Rock Or Bust, is currently at No.3 in the UK albums chart and the band are strongly rumoured to be headlining Glastonbury next year.
