More about: Lana Del Rey
Lana Del Rey has announced that her fourth album will be titled Honeymoon and nine songs have already been written.
Speaking to Billboard, Del Rey says the tracks are more similar in tone to her breakthrough Born To Die than the gloomy seduction of Ultraviolence.
"It's very different from the last one and similar to the first two, Born to Die and Paradise" she explains. "It's growing into something I really like. I'm kind of enjoying sinking into this more noirish feel for this one. It's been good."
Del Rey also said that she has covered Nina Simone’s 'Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood' for the album explaining “I like summarising the record with a jazz song. I’m having fun with my interpretation.”
The singer also recently told the LA Times about how her work on the soundtrack for Tim Burton's Big Eyes had helped inspire the new album. "I'm working on a new record now, and I have this one song, 'Music to Watch Boys To'. The title lends itself to a visual of shadows of men passing by, this girl's eyes, her face. I can definitely see things".
Later this year Del Rey and Courtney Love will embark on a joint tour of the US. Buy tickets safely and securely using Seatwave.
