More about: Sia
Sia has released the new video for 'Elastic Heart' starring Shia Labeouf, and has already responded to criticism over the underage cage fight it depicts.
Starring everyone's favourite red carpet disrupter and occasional one-man art project Shia Laboeuf, as well as the return Chandelier dancer Maddie Ziegler , 'Elastric Heart' is a dance battle between the pair held inside in a giant cage.
As Labeouf is the only performer who enjoys putting a bag on his head more than Sia herself, it makes complete sense - and Daniel Askill's direction perfectly depicts Sia's 'warring states' within herself.

However, as Rita Ora's recent case make clear, the internet will always find some cause for outage. This time some Youtube commenters and Twitter users have looked for a subtext that isn't there between the performers aged 12 and 28.
Sia wrote on her Facebook. "I anticipated some 'pedophelia!!!' Cries for this video. All I can say is Maddie and Shia are two of the only actors I felt could play these two warring 'sia' self states. I apologize to those who feel triggered by #ElasticHeart My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody."
Electric Heart is the latest single to be taken from Sia's album 1000 Forms Of Fear.
