Super Furry Animals' Gruff Rhys performed a charming rendition of his track 'American Interior', taken from the album of the same name, at day two of the BBC 6 Music Festival yesterday.

The solo Welshman, best known as the lead singer for Super Furry Animals and his work with Neon Neon and Gorillaz, took to the stage yesterday in Gateshead, performing the gliding melancholic song in a smart black suit with an ocean blue jumper.

BBC 6 Music's extravaganza is taking place in Newcastle and Gateshead this weekend, a year after the first ever festival in Manchester.
