Gilmour has announced that he will be playing two extra dates at London's Royal London Hall as part of his first solo tour in nine years.
The tour is in support of his as-yet-untitled follow up to 2006's On An Island, and kicks off in Croatia on 12 September. It was set to finish with a three night stint at the Royal Albert Hall from 23 - 25 September, but with the addition of these two October dates Gilmour will play a total of five shows at the venue.
Tickets for the solo tour went on sale a couple of days ago on 6 March - which just happened to be Gilmour's 69th birthday. He told Rolling Stone last year that he was hoping to do 'an old man's tour, not a 200-date sort of thing'.
In the interview, last October, he also said of the upcoming solo album, "there are some sketches that aren't finished, and some of them will be started again. There's a few months' work in it yet. I'm hoping to get it out this following year."
