Blur played a secret London show for a 300-strong audience, where they premiered their upcoming eighth studio album The Magic Whip.

The one off show took place at West London club Mode yesterday (20 March). Blur played the entirety of The Magic Whip, their first album together in twelve years (since 2003's Think Tank). For the encore, they played Parklife track 'There Are Too Many Of Us', which they haven't performed live in 20 years.

It was only possible to get tickets by taking part in a competition and being entered into a ballot. This meant that there were some disgruntled fans, but also some very happy ones, who took to twitter to share the experience.

The band also released this new track from the album, 'There Are Too Many Of Us', yesterday, prior to the gig. You can listen to it below.

The Magic Whip will be released on 27 April via Parlophone, and Blur are set to play a headline BST show in Hyde Park on 20 June. Buy tickets here.
