Band 'decide to call it a day' to focus on their own solo projects
Noah & The Whale have announced that they are splitting after nine years together to focus on their solo projects.
The band, who rose to fame with the breakthrough single '5 Years Time', have released four albums and achieved chart success and critical acclaim with their time together - but have now issued a statement to thank their fans and bid them farewell.
"Dear Friends," they wrote on Facebook. "Noah and the Whale have decided to call it a day. We have had an incredible eight years together and are immensely grateful to everyone who has helped us along the way. There are too many people to mention in this short message but we would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to all of our amazing fans, who have supported us so magnificently over the years and made everything possible.
"Love, NATW."
They then signed off with links to each individual members' solo website.

The band released their final album, Heart Of Nowhere, in May 2013. Frontman Charlie Fink has also produced and written work the likes of Laura Marling, Foxes, Rae Morris and many more.
