The anti-establishment Essex boy hits Brighton
16 May: It’s day three of The Great Escape, and Essex teenager Rat Boy (aka Jordan Cardy) treats festival-goers to his snarly brand of estuary indie-rap. Check out the exclusive photos here.
The teen multi-instrumentalist (Cardy plays guitars, bass, keyboard and programmes beats) from Essex can’t avoid comparisons to Jamie T, with his lyrics of disaffected youth and contemporary society, but with a release next month and more festivals booked it’s obvious he plans very much on becoming his own man. Today's performance came complete with stage-climbing, the rebel. Check him out in our exclusive photos.
