More about: Warpaint
19 July, 2015: Warpaint's heady and swirling jams on record transform into walls of reverberation that cast shadows over audiences when showcased live. Sandwiched between Seasick Steve and Manic Street Preachers on the bill, Warpaint were most likely performing to a crowd of mixed tastes, but are equally not a band that makes compromises. The dark mixture of harmony and dissonance on their second, self-titled album hits harder than the sweeter, mesmeric tracks off The Fool giving a push and pull to the whole performance.
