For one weekend a year, the glorious sights of the Peak District lay host to a wonderful collection of acts, from dance and hip hop to the deep depths of post-hardcore and beyond.

For those who don't wish to slum it amongst a never ending sea of tents, the festival even offers glamping options amongst the peak district scenery.

Take a peak at our top suggestions for the bands that you really shouldn't be missing this year. From the downright classic to the more obscure, we've handpicked the acts that we think are unmissable.

We apologise in advance for some inevitable clashes after we get you all excited.

  • Public Service Broadcasting: A quintessentially British and dapperly-dressed blend of public information film samples set over a soaring post-rock backdrop, the musical duo invite their fans into a strange but ultimately consuming sonic world.

  • Rae morris: A beautiful voice as well as a clear understanding of how to properly craft songs. What more could you want?

  • Honey Blood: Embracing their inner Patti Smith with a fearless punk attitude and gutteral grunge-pop sound, the band combine sharp lyrics with harsh and unforgiving riffs. The results are breathtaking, and landed them a spot on tour with Foo Fighters.

  • Johnny Marr: He was in The Smiths. What more reason do you need? Oh, OK then - his solo work is incredible, and he's an absolute God. Go see him.

  • Pulled Apart by Horses: On their signal, unleash hell.

  • Tellison: The relentless indie foursome have been going strong for almost 12 years now. Infectious hooks and endless amounts of energy make the band more than worth your time.

  • Rolo Tomassi: Constantly evolving after forming almost 10 years ago, this five piece's latest record, Grievances takes a post-hardcore turn, making for unforgettably loud and intense performances.

  • Super Furry Animals: The psychedelic Welshmen put on one hell of a show, always using wonderful visuals and regularly engaging with crows throughout their wonderfully zany performances.

  • Blossoms: With psychedelic rocky riffs and pitch perfect melodies, The Manchester band forge unashamedly catchy cuts.

  • Snoop Dogg: Head to the main stage on Friday night to make sure ‘dee oh double gee’ has recovered from his run in with the Swedish police a couple of days ago.

  • Slaves: The new faces of punk. Always guaranteed to leave every part of themselves on stage, leaving crowds visibly flabbergasted when their raw sets reach a thundering conclusion.

  • Indiana: Just purely perfect pop. Catch her before she gets massive.

  • The Bohicas: These Essex boys create unrelenting and fast paced rock songs, delivering speedy vocals which will lodge themselves in your head for the rest of time.

  • Arcane Roots: Fast, hard hitting and littered with match rock influence, the Kingston three piece will have you bobbing along in a rock trance.

  • The Xcerts: The Aberdeen three piece have moved into more accessible places as of late, but have still managed to maintain their roots, drawing heavily from their former tour mates, Brand New.

  • Kagoule: With particularly understated vocals from Kai, the Nottingham trio paint vivid pictures with a backdrop of harsh, eery guitars and solid percussion.
