The site is already awash with puddles and mud - but spirits are high

Usually by the final day, the Reading and Leeds Festival sites are vast, unrecognisable swamplands, the festival-goers themselves muddied shells of their former selves. This year though, just to change things up a bit, the festival site decided to resemble the trenches of WWI from the very beginning.
Thankfully, that's done little to dampen the spirits of the thousands of festival goers who are arriving at the site today. They're too excited at the prospect of seeing the likes of The Libertines, Mumford & Sons, Metallica, Kendrick Lamar, Alt-J and many, many more.
How they'll all feel by Sunday is another matter entirely.
