Former Wilco member Jay Bennett died at the age of 45 on May 24th. A later coroners report found that his death was accidental and was the result of an overdose of a prescription painkiller. Bennett worked with Wilco from 1994, helping to co-write many songs on their albums 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot' and 'Summerteeth'. He had a notoriously abrasive relationship with Jeff Tweedy and left the band in 2001 due to the pairs continuing conflicts.
