July 10 2011 – This year's Sonisphere festival came to an end with a headline performance from Slipknot.
The band played an emotional set that spanned their career on the main stage and was dedicated to bassist Paul Gray, who died last year. Earlier in the day, festival-goers held a two minutes silence across the festival site.
Day three of the festival at Knebworth House in Hertfordshire also featured performances from Limp Bizkit, Mastodon, Bill Bailey and Howard Marks.
