One more week has passed by, meaning that it's that time when Gigwise rounds up and reminds you exactly what happened in music in the last seven days

The week has been immersed in speculation surrounding Kings Of Leon, after a series of stage disapperances from Caleb Followill during the band's current US tour, followed by their annoucement that they had cancelled the rest of the tour's 28 dates.

Elsewhere the latest royal wedding's playlist was revealed, Cher Lloyd looks set to knock fellow X Factor contestants JLS off the No 1 spot, Kayne West surprised fans by collaborating with Nicki Minaj in New York, and it was confirmed that Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has split from his long-term girlfriend Alexa Chung.

In other music news, MTV announced a new VMA award category, Coldplay paid tribute to Amy Winehouse at a concert in Australia, Rihanna stripped down to a very revealing costume for a carnival in her native Barbados and Noel Gallagher revealed that his wife is not a huge fan of his new material
