1 April, 2012: Kylie Minogue opened her 'Anti-Tour' last night in Manchester, offering fans the opportunity to see the singer perform some of her rare b-sides, album tracks and fan favourites.
A relatively low-key show as far as Miss Minogue is concerned, there was little in the way of costume changes and epic set pieces, instead the singer performed to Manchester fans in a pair of tiny denim shorts, backed with a band and small troupe of backing singers.
The tour is in celebration of Kylie's 25 years in music, and by ditching the chart toppers and club anthems in favour of tracks that will be mostly known only by her hardcore following, is offering a series of shows catering specifically to her biggest fans. Demand for tickets was so high, a second Manchester date was added to the tour.
