Singer hits northern leg of UK tour
Tags: Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding played the O2 Academy in Leeds on Saturday night and Manchester Academy last night as part of her 'Halcyon' UK tour. The 9 date tour comes to a conclusion tonight with the 'Anything Could Happen' singer playing Southampton Guildhall. Check out photos from the shows here
Goulding found mainstream fame when she covered Elton John's 'Your Song' for a John Lewis christmas advert in 2010. A move which led Prince William and Kate Middleton to request her performance at their wedding reception at Buckingham Palace.
Ellie Goulding's second album 'Halcyon' comes as the follow up to her hugely successful debut 'Lights', which reached number 1 in the UK album charts, a position her second album fell just short of, charting at number 2.
In the new year the singer will head to America where she'll play 18 dates, touring 'Halcyon'. Stop offs will include New York, Miami, Chicago and eventually end up in Los Angeles on 2 February.
