Photos: Sigur Ros perform second sold out Manchester show

4 March, 2013: Sigur Ros claimed their performance at Bestival in 2012 was one of their worst ever, but the Icelandic stars are back in the UK and stunning fans on their current tour.

The band's first full tour since the release of their critically acclaimed album Valtari last year, the band last night performed the second of their two sold-out shows at Manchester Apollo.

The band are known for their spectacular live performances, mixing hugely impressive sets with video footage, and using lighting to dramatic effect to compliment their distinct, ethereal sound. The show mixed classic Sigur Ros tracks such as 'Hoppipolla' and 'Svefn-g-englar' with brand new tracks such as 'Brennstein' - a new track for their current tour.
