Alex Kapranos and co bring the party to London
16 July, 2014: Franz Ferdinand bring the party and one hell of a good time to London's iconic Somerset House as part of their Summer Series. It was brilliant. Check out our awesome, exclusive photos from the gig here.
The palatial surroundings may seemingly suit perhaps artists with a more grandiose sound, but what you have in Franz Ferdinand is an institution in itself, so the two go hand in hand. Career-spanning as their set was, they didn't lean entirely on the classics and the hits - letting the show breathe by showcasing the staggering calibre of their new album, Right Thougts, Right Words, Right Action - but punctuated by the indie dancefloor perfect of the likes of 'Take Me Out', 'Do You Want To', 'This Fire', 'Michael' and the sinister excellence of 'Ulysses'.
Time passes and trends come and go, but Franz Ferdinand remain - louder, livelier and better than ever.
Franz Ferdinand played:
No You Girls
The Dark of the Matinee
Right Action
Do You Want To?
Fallen
Evil Eye
Tell Her Tonight

Bullet
Michael
