Azealia Banks (Friday, 5:00-5:45, Coachella Stage): Sure, she gets into plenty of Twitter feuds and often says things she soon regrets, but she also proved herself with her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste (once it was actually, finally released). This is the first festival season since the LP's release, so it's likely a set not to be missed.
Tame Impala (Friday, 9:15-10:05, Coachella Stage) Can you really think of a better band to watch at a music festival? They've been unveiling a few new tracks in the lead up to Coachella, and if 'Cause I'm A Man' and the epic eight-minute long 'Let It Be' are anything to go by, then their new album Currents will be pretty special.
Lykke Li (Friday, 7:20-8:10, Mojave Tent): Back in January, Lykke Li took some time off from touring to rest after tour life had "caught up" with her, but she's back just in time for Coachella. She recently released a new track called 'Never Gonna Love Again', and hopefully Lykke Li's return to the stage will bring some other new material, as well. Unfortunately, she's playing opposite Interpol who will be on the Coachella Stage, so it's a tough call.
Tame Impala (Friday, 9:15-10:05, Coachella Stage): Can you really think of a better band to watch at a music festival? AC/DC (Friday, 10:35, Coachella Stage): Coachella co-founder Paul Tollett received some criticism for booking AC/DC to headline Friday night, but as he responded, "AC/DC, no one can argue that they're one of the best bands live".
Royal Blood (Saturday, 3:00-3:40, Outdoor Theatre): They've pretty much stormed the UK to wild praise from both critics and their musical peers, so this is the time for US music fans to get to know the duo. They'll be kicking off their North American tour immediately after Coachella, including tours with Mini Mansions and the Foo Fighters.
Run The Jewels (Saturday, 6:55-7:45, Mojave Tent): They're playing opposite Belle And Sebastian over at the Outdoor Theatre, so it's another tough call. But the hip-hop duo of Killer Mike and El-P deliver great music and stirring commentary on important issues like police brutality that can't really be missed.
Kasabian (Saturday, 8:15-9:05, Mojave Tent): For UK festival-goers, seeing Kasabian a bit lower down on the lineup is unusual, but they're bound to bring the same punch that they did when they headlined Glasto.
FKA twigs (Saturday, 9:35-10:25, Gobi Tent): She's one of music's most exciting newcomers, and she puts on outlandishly beautiful performances. She's up against Tyler, The Creator, who will be playing the Outdoor Theatre around the same time, and he just announced the release of his new LP, so again, another tough call. But either set will be pretty great.
Jack White (Saturday, 9:15-11:00, Coachella Stage): Last month, Jack White was joined on stage by Robert Plant at Lollapalooza Argentina to perform Led Zeppelin's 'The Lemon Song', so maybe he'll make another special appearance again. After all, White has expressed a desire to work with Plant, so hopefully the duo have something big planned up their sleeves.
The Weeknd (Saturday, 11:25-?, Coachella Stage): The Weeknd will be taking to the stage shortly after Jack White's slot, so if you'll be at Coachella, you might as well plan on spending most of your evening at the Coachella State. He debuted a brand new tune at SXSW last month, so hopefully Coachella will be another opportunity to showcase some new tracks.
Desaparecidos (Sunday, 4:35-5:45, Gobi Tent): It's been an exciting week for Desaparecidos fans, as the band just announced that they'll be releasing their first album in 13 years this June, so their Coachella set is bound to contain a few new songs.
The Cribs (Sunday, 6:05-6:45, Gobi Tent): Again, another tough call, as Marina And The Diamonds will be playing around the same time over on the Coachella Stage, but if you opt for The Cribs, then you'll get to hear tracks from their latest album, For All My Sisters, which came out last month. Ryan Jarman recently told Gigwise that the LP "is very much a classic Cribs record", so if you like classic Cribs, then their set is the one for you.
St. Vincent (Sunday, 8:00-8:50, Outdoor Theatre): Earlier this week, St. Vincent gave a stunning performance of 'Teenage Talk' on 'The Tonight Show', which was bound to get you excited for her Coachella set. Unfortunately, she's playing opposite Jamie xx at the Gobi Tent, but if you run, you might also be able to catch the end of his set, too.
Florence And The Machine (Sunday, 8:50-9:45, Coachella Stage): This week, Flo dropped another new track, 'Ship To Wreck', which will appear on her highly anticipated forthcoming album How Big How Blue How Beautiful, and her set is sure to showcase some more new tracks. Every performance Florence gives is ethereal and goosebump-inducing, and her Coachella set should be no different.
Drake (Sunday, 10:15-?, Coachella Stage): Closing out Coachella weekend will be Drake, who recently tied with The Beatles in a Billboard Hot 100 record for having the most amount of songs in the chart at the same time, thanks to the success of latest album If You're Reading This, It's Too Late. Lykke Li just released a beautiful cover of his song 'Hold On, We're Going Home', so if she sticks around the entire weekend, there could potentially be a beautiful on-stage collaboration.
