Addictive, dirty and downright brilliant...

Robyn’s brand of electro pop is back with her second instalment of the Body Talk saga, 'Body Talk Pt. 2' - and the Swedish whirlwind proves she is about as interesting a pop star as they come. Splitting from her record label because it didn’t like her direction, releasing a track entitled ‘Don’t Fucking Tell Me What to Do’ and launching her own label Konichiwa Records, Robyn really doesn’t do what she’s supposed to. And god bless her for it.

The eight-track record’s vibe is two-fold. The first half is Robyn doing what Robyn does – Euro club anthems with ethereal choruses. Perfect for dance floors all over our fair continent, ‘Include Me Out’ begins with a Jurassic 5-esque speech and soon returns to the dance formula. The singles, ‘Hang With Me’ and ‘In My Eyes’, are radio friendly with their innocent vocals and catchy dance beats, but 'Body Talk Pt 2' changes to something altogether more unique in the second half. ‘We Dance to the Beat’ is rough and ready with it’s Thunderheist power trip and ‘Criminal Intent’s' dirty grime beats and Missy quality rapping is inspired.

If only the whole record was like this. The second half is addictive, dirty and downright brilliant. ‘U Should Know Better’ (featuring the one and only Snoop Dogg) is as good as anything NERD have done and will struggle to leave your iPod’d ears for months. “The whole industry knows better than to fuck with me,” she sings. And she’s got a point. 'Body Talk Pt 2' reveals a dangerously dark two-fingers up to the people who disappointed her. More fool them.
