Brandon Flowers has performed 'Lonely Town' from his stunning second solo album The Desired Effect on US TV. Check it out below.

Appearing on James Corden's Late Late Show, Flowers performed the track, complete with a horn section and some delicate vocal interplay with his backing singers. The track sums up everything that's great about The Desired Effect: pure experimental Eighties influenced pop of the highest order.

The album follows Flowers' solo album Flamingo released in 2010, in between that he has released a new Killers album 'Battle Born'. It features guest vocals from The Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant, and Danielle from Haim as well as percussion from Killers bandmate Ronnie Vannucci.

Earlier this year, Flowers described his desire to be on radio and very much in the eyes of the mainstream: "I've never been ashamed to say that. I can't believe where radio has gone. It seems to be such a weird world now. Where once I seemed to fit in, now I'm seen as a little different. I used to be considered mainstream, but now I'm almost avant-garde or art rock compared to what's on the radio."

The tracklisting for 'The Desired Effect' is:

'Dreams Come True'
'Can't Deny My Love'
'I Can Change'
'Still Want You'
'Between Me And You'
'Lonely Town'
'Digging Up The Heart'
'Never Get You Right'
'Untangled Love'
'The Way It's Always Been'
'The Desired Effect'
