Taylor Swift dominated the Billboard Music Awards last night (17 May), taking home Top Artist and finally premiering the star-studded 'Bad Blood' video - which was, to the surprise of fans and critics alike, a remixed version featuring Kendrick Lamar.

The singer had been teasing the video in the weeks running up to the Billboard Awards, introducing fans to a new celebrity cameo, and their alter-ego name, almost every day. These cameos included Cara Delevingne, Lena Dunham, Hailee Steinfeld, Hayley Williams, and more.

In practice, most of the celebrity cameos are about two seconds long and completely unnecessary, but the overall video is as delightfully Hollywood camp as you can get, and features Swift, some sort of super-villain, going through a strict training regimen after being double-crossed by Selena Gomez.

Despite the song being one of the less well-received tracks on Swift's acclaimed album 1989, Lamar's verses - which would have been inconceivable in Swift's country days - elevate it hugely.

We should mention that other artists were also in attendance at the Billboard Awards. One Direction won Top Touring Artist, Sam Smith won Top Male Artist, Iggy Azalea won Top Rap Artist and Hozier won Top Rock Artist... Taylor Swift won basically everything else. Taylor Swift is set to headline the Radio One's Big Weekend in Norwich this weekend. She is also set to headline at Barclaycard British Summertime, alongside Ellie Goulding, John Newman, Vance Joy (who is supporting her on the rest of the 1989 tour), Rae Morris, JP Cooper, Lauren Aquilina, Laura Doggett, Sheppard, Jamie Lawson and Iris Gold. The event takes place at Hyde Park on 27 June. For tickets and more information about Taylor Swift's gig at Barclaycard British Summer Time visit here.
