More about: The KillersJohnny Cash
Killers frontman Brandon Flowers features alongside Father John Misty and Local Natives in a film where they perform unreleased material by Johnny Cash. Check it out below.
La Blogothèque shot the movie in Californian desert, where the colletive of artists covered songs from Out Among the Stars - Johnny Cash's posthumous studio album released through Legacy Recordings last week.
"If you asked my dad what he listened to, we would always reply country and western - that was his answer, that was the genre he defined himself by," says Flowers in the video, "which is so outdated now, it's funny.
"My dad introduced me to Johnny Cash. He's another one who inspires me and I look up to him and listen and go back to just for the craft. He was also one of the greatest story-tellers, and that's something again that I gravitate towards."
