The Nottingham singer performed the 2012 song during a session with Annie Mac, who was filling in for regular presenter Fearne Cotton.

Reactions to Bugg's cover were extremely mixed in the comment section beneath the video, and ranged from, "He can't sing... at all" to "Better than the original."

In a recent interview with BBC Newsbeat, the singer admitted to struggling when it came to picking a cover. "They [the producers] game me a list," he said, "and I'm not going to lie I kinda struggled. They're all pop songs, but when you strip them down on acoustic guitar you realise how good they are."

Bugg recently revealed to NME that he's in the very early stages of working on his third album, but hasn't got much further than recording them as voice memos on his iPhone.

The singre is set to play five UK dates in October, which include a massive show at London's Alexandra Palace. Full dates are below. For more info, visit Gigwise tickets.
