Earlier this week, a picture of The Teletubbies in black and white went viral on the internet. Fair enough, it's pretty damn terrifying.

However, what's even more eerie is this new video that has been created, where Joy Division soundtrack the Teletubbies frolicking about. If you have any fond memories of the Teletubbies from your childhood, you certainly won't feel nostalgiac whilst you watch this. The video was created by Christopher Brown, who is a member of the band Vary Lumar. Speaking to Vanyaland about the video he said: "I'm just glad this exists in the world now."

What some fans of Joy Division might notice, which makes the whole clip even more sinister, is that it resembles a still from the Anton Corbijn directed music video for 'Atmosphere'.

Reaction to the clip has been mixed. One fan has commented on YouTube: "I can't stop watching this. Joy Division and Teletubbies in glorious black and white. This is Anton Corbijn's wet dream." Whilst others don't get what the fuss is about, with one noting: "I don't understand the hype about this? It's just Teletubbies black and white with a song over it? Why is it trending? Not trying to offend people I just don't get it?"

We here at Gigwise will let you make of it what you will, but for us, there's something oddly captivating about it.
